Sundered (v0.02 Playtest copy)

Sundered is a fantasy wargame set in a world quite like sixth-century Europe in our own timeline... if the Sixth Century was even worse-attested than it actually is, and was mostly recorded by people experiencing fever dreams.

This game focuses heavily on "Your Guys", presenting a relatively simple wargaming engine with a focus on modifying and customising your army to suit your tastes, your models, and your narrative.

Currently in playtest form, hence the free offering of the rules, key rules include:

• A unit roster shared across all factions, to which each faction adds extra rules and abilities.
• Alternating-activation play, with a heavy emphasis on reactive abilities, to keep both players constantly engaged.
• Terrain and cover rules, allowing your units to occupy buildings and key locations for bonuses -- and even field buildings as part of your army list.
• Dice pools for your army abilities each turn -- play Yahtzee to cast your spells!
• Scenarios varying between symmetric and asymmetric play, to keep gameplay fresh between games.
